Afro Phenom
Shaun Livingston made headlines by being the first point guard to go straight from high school to ther NBA. Amazing as this feat is, it does not begin to match how powerful this young man's afro is. Although he at times likes to braid it, it is only when his hair is untamed is he at his very best- it makes him a 6-10 point guard!

A true sportshair allstar: Zach Morley
Wisconsin may have lost a tough one to the Tar Heels last night, but Zach Morley is still an all star in our book:
To tide you over...
We have all been anxiously awaiting the arrival of ESPN Page 2's NCAA tournament All Hair team. To make the wait easier, here are links to the last 3 years (the first year, 2001, can be found below):

Pete Rose
Despite his problems with "gaming" Pete Rose will always be a sportshair legend. Why? Because he apparently did not give a crap about his hair. From his legendary bowl cuy to his hedgehog cut, Pete has what it takes. I found this picture earlier today of an old ad cmapaign he participated in. What makes it so awesome is they tried to style a bowl cut. YOU CAN'T STYLE A BOWL CUT.
Is baseball moving back in time?
As time goes on it sure seems baseball is going back to the hairy ass past of the seventies and eighties. Look at these two examples:
Randy Wolf of the Phillies looks like he is trying to emulate another Philadelphia legend, John Kruk.

The Cardinals' Matt Morris has a big ass beard:

Remember when Rollie fingers could prance around with a mustache like he had and not be laughed at? That time is coming back, and I could not be happier.

Austin Kearns
Here is an update on the status of Austin Kearns. He's healthy so far (so he has about 2 months until he contracts sme sort of rare disease) and he came to camp this year for the Reds with new flowing locks. He is obviously trying to get some of the Red Sox mojo going on, which is a good idea. However, this being Cincinnati, they made him CUT his hair. He probably would have injured himself applying his styling product anyway. Here is a pic of the new Austin Kearns:
