Unknown Bengal

Number 6x for the Bengals is stroking his long luxurious mane. Does anyone know who this is to the left of John Thornton?

Mark Gastineau

From the sportshair archives come the powerful mullet of New York Jets defensive lineman Mark Gastineau. While we here at Sportshair do not do not approve of the mullet per se, we fully support the courage it takes to express yourself through your hair and be true to yourself always. Many know of Gastineau because of the success of reality show The Gastineau Girls but we will always remember him for his outrageous play and even more outrageous coif!

2 for one Wednesday: Caleb Miller

Bengals Sophomore linebacker Caleb Miller normally has a thick, curly mop of hair, like Justin Timberlake. This year he has unveiled a whole new winning look- straightened and longer. Break out the iron!

UPDATE 8-15-05:

Miller's photo in the 2005 Bengals media guy doesn't look like him, either, and it's by design.

Blessed with naturally curly hair, Miller had it straightened for photo day. He plans to return to action on the field, and when he does, it's the straight-haired photo he wants circulated.

"I was like, dude, if that picture is the one that shows up on TV and all my friends see it, that will be the best Andy Kaufman I could pull off," Miller said, referring to the inside joke the late comedian pulled off in the film "Man on the Moon."

"It's not funny to anyone in the world except me and maybe 10 other people," Miller said.

From all of us at sportshair, we salute you Caleb!

Adam Kieft

Offensive and Defensive lineman are the most unheralded people on a football team (except for thos who collect a lot of sacks on the defensive side). They are not even referred to as skill position players, which is even more insulting. How can a young player make his mark in the ananoymous role of a lineman in the NFL? Easy. GROW YOUR HAIR. Here is Bengals rookie tacke Adam Kieft, who is sporting the shaggiest mop of hair this side of Grant Wistrom. We at Sportshair.com salute you Adam!
